I hope you had a relaxing, enjoyable summer and have easily found your way back to a routine this school year.  My family made the most of summer with several trips to our favorite lake in the Poconos along with amusement park visits and plenty of pool time.

It seems that Autumn has arrived in earnest with more seasonable temperatures this week.  I'm looking forward to more time around a fire as the nights cool and days shorten.

In less than eight weeks it will be Thanksgiving; and before you know it we'll be ringing in the New Year! If you've gotten your Halloween costumes all set and are ready to prepare for the winter holidays, then this email is perfectly timed!

You'll find information on my two remaining mini sessions for 2019 below.  Both options are a great way to get updated family portraits of those ever changing kiddos just in time for holiday cards.

Please call or email to get your session scheduled today!

The Backyard Boutique is offering a unique mini session opportunity at Maple Acres Farm in Plymouth Meeting, PA.  Maple Acres, a community staple for over 100 years, has several fields full of zinnias in every color you can imagine.  Your kids will love racing through the fields, picking a few flowers and getting their fingers and toes dirty all while I document the magic!

These sessions are limited; only available on September 20, 2019 from 5PM - 7PM.

Email samantha@backyardboutiquephotography to reserve your session!

Being able to connect with your children, with a complete lack of distraction is a true luxury.  Motherhood seems to be synonymous with multi tasking super hero!

Giving yourself the gift {or hinting for your spouse to do so} of a sweet Motherhood session will give you that luxury of dedicated time to snuggle, laugh and smile with your kids all while I document your unique and authentic mothering relationship. You'll leave your session feeling connected and appreciative of the life you've created for yourself and your children.  The images from your session will be a keepsake you and your family will cherish forever.

It's time to get in front of the camera and document your important and irreplaceable motherhood experience.

"Thank you so much for the opportunity to do this!  You have no idea how much these photos mean to me."

"Being a single mom of a child who's on the spectrum is tough. We don't have a lot of down time that is meant to simply cherish. Our days are filled with lots o...

I had the pleasure of meeting Wesley and his loving family when he was 8 days fresh.  He slept so well for the first half of his session and was wide awake and just so content for the remainder.  It was so fun to to photograph Wes as he kicked and cooed.  I love when awake babies are happy!

Wesley's big brother Leo was a bit camera shy to start our session. He explored the studio and even got to take a few turns behind the camera. It was all worth it to be able to capture these great moments for the Feiertag family to enjoy forever.   If you are interested in having a newborn photography session in Bucks County, PA and the surrounding area, contact me for more details!

Confession:  A one year old is in my top three most challenging clients to photograph.  They are somewhere between baby and toddler and none of my gold standard "tricks" for connecting with each of those age groups really get the job done. They are most likely on the move - in one way or another - and cannot be reasoned with to stay in one spot.  Except if there's cake.  Cake can make 99% of one year olds sit still for at least 3 minutes.

It was great being able to meet the Kupersteins at their home where we took advantage of their scenic back yard for family shots before heading inside to grab some sweet and simple cake smash photos of Ari.  So, instead of pleading with your one year old not to fall asleep or cry for an entire car trip, (99% of 1 year olds also do one or both of these things) let me come to you! Thanks for welcoming me into your home Kupersteins! If you are interested in having a family portrait session, contact me for more information.

My absolute favorite light to photograph in is 8AM on an October morning.  If I could convince 31 families to meet me at that early hour (and the weather to cooperate) I'd book an 8AM session every. single. day.  I love it that much.  I could wax poetic about how a sun, still low in the sky, filters through shades of yellow, orange, red and green forever.  But, instead, here in photographic summary is why I love October mornings.

Thanks for getting yourselves photo ready by 8AM Falker Family!
